Blended Learning is the term we use for combining on-line learning with live face-to- face teaching.
What are the advantages of on-line learning?
• Reading, writing, listening and pronunciation skills are practiced on-line
• You can study on-line on your own whenever you have a spare 10 – 15 minutes.
• You can re-do an on-line activity as often as you like – until you master that skill.
• On-line study focuses on your particular strengths and weaknesses.
• You have constant feedback, and can see for yourself how you steadily improve.
German Intensive Course for Beginners
The main goal of the course is to build up your communicational skills, in particular speaking and listening. You will be confronted with a variety of survival situations where you will learn to express yourself in German.
The following situations, amongst others, will be covered:
* at the station
* at a department store
* at the doctors
* in a restaurant
* telephone calls
* appointments Work and leisure time
* cross cultural information etc.
• Groups
As ILS-German Intensive groups have a maximum of 8 participants, you will have plenty of opportunity to practice speaking in the classroom.
• Method
We follow the communicative approach to language learning, where fluency is more important than accuracy. You will be presented structures and new words in their most common context, and you will try to understand and imitate them. This results in rapid progress in your ability to speak the language and gives you the chance of getting a basic idea of its grammar.
