Cultura Italiana
The school is situated in the centre of Bologna, a medieval town of Etruscan origin whose beauty has not yet been discovered by mass tourism. Cultura Italiana is specialised in the teaching of Italian language. The school is unique in its focus solely on Italian, with respect to other schools that offer courses in English and other languages, included Italian. Cultura Italiana is a school specilised in the teaching of Italian for adults, not for teenagers. Cultura Italiana, due to its experience in the teaching field, occasionally hosts individuals and groups of school-aged students, for which special classes are organised.
Classes
Courses begin on Monday with the classification test for 10 different levels. They consist of 20 lesson-hours plus 10 hours of extracurricular programme per week. The first part of the lesson is focused on grammar structure and vocabulary, the second part on expression and communication. The lesson is each of 50 minutes. Besides the normal classes of 6-12 students the school also offers classes with 3-5 or 2 participants and individual classes. At the end of the course the participant receives a certificate valid for professional goals.
Levels
Basic 1 and Basic 2 - 1st and 2nd part
Objective: a basic understanding of the linguistic elements necessary for a good comprehension of everyday conversation.
Means: linguistic animation, comprehension exercises, linguistic context analysis, short conversations, readings from film scripts, newspaper articles and short stories, the study of the main grammatical concepts.
Intermediate 1 and Intermediate 2 - 1st and 2nd part
Objective: the ability to converse in everyday Italian in all sorts of linguistic situations with sufficient precision.
Means: the reading of articles and literary extracts, conversation and writing on specific topics, oral summaries, written exercises, active use of grammar.
Advanced 1 and Advanced 2
Objective: the natural use of the language in all its expressive forms.
Means: the reading and discussion of articles, literary texts and poetry, written summaries and comments, study of more complex grammatical concepts, idiomatic constructions, neologism, synonyms.
