Accademia di Italiano is an Italian language school founded to help foreigners learn Italian in Italy during their stay in Milan.
With the time the school has broadened its scope to cover all the needs of students who come to Milan to learn Italian in Italy, to work, to study in one of the world famous fashion, design, art institutes or simply to taste the scent of the Italian way of life.
Located in an elegant building in the heart of the city, Accademia di Italiano today is an Italian language centre offering to students who wish to learn Italian in Italy a variety of courses and services, including accommodation, in-house free internet café, movie room, the interactive multimedia language laboratory and a very efficient help desk: all in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
Organization
AI, the Italian language teaching school, organizes standard and intensive Italian language courses (including evening) for small groups and person-to-person, either general or dedicated to specific professional subjects (fashion, design, art, opera, cusine, hotel, tourism, business and cooking and tasting Italian food).
The Italian language teaching programme offers courses covering several degrees of intensity, from the light Italian language budget course B4 (2 lessons twice a week) to the demanding Italian language intensive small group superextra course XXI (6 lessons/day), while the Italian language professional courses range from the tutorial ones held in the evening, designed to help students working or attending professional schools, to the intensive superextra courses where professional subjects are dealt with in one-to-one lessons following intensive general Italian small group classes.
According to their level of knowledge, the students are organized in very small classes (average 6 people) in order to maximize efficiency (less time to learn the language) and flexibility (adaptation to individual needs).
The Italian language teaching programme is organized in nine teaching levels covering the proficiency spectrum from beginner to mother tongue according to the Common European Framework.
Admission tests, in-between checks and exams to pass to a higher level help monitoring the Italian language teaching and learning process, where self-esteem building and playful competition are considered important stimuli.
A certificate of proficiency stating the level achieved in accordance with the guidelines of the Common European Framework marks the end of each course.
