LA VERA ITALIA
La Vera Italia is a unique school that offers the opportunity to study the Italian language and culture in a special area of the peninsula where century-old traditions still thrive. Based in Jesi, its mission is to give students a chance to experience life in a small Italian town. Here students can begin to learn the language or improve their communication skills while enjoying the many unique aspects of Italian culture. The absence of mass tourism and a relaxed pace of life allow students to become part of a community where old traditions still prevail and thrive in harmony with the modern changes brought on by the increasing globalization of our world.
Introduction to La Vera Courses and Programs
La Vera Italia offers a variety of programs throughout the year. There are three different language courses (General, Intensive, Individual), a Special Course that offers an in-depth discussion of various aspects of Italian culture, and three Summer Programs. With the exception of the Summer Programs which have an established length, each program lasts a minimum of 1 week.
The maximum length is based on student desire. The classes have a minimum of three students with a maximum of 10 students to guarantee the highest quality of lessons with the maximum amount of attention for each participant. All of our experienced teachers are SSIS qualified (Scuola di Specializzazione per l’Insegnamento Secondario) and extremely creative. Their methods focus on improving conversational skills and comprehension with a fundamental understanding of grammar. All of the students that take a course for at least 4 weeks have the opportunity to take either the CELI exam (Certificato Esami Lingua Italiana) or the CIC (Certificato Italiano Commerciale) at the University of Perugia in June or November.

Housing
La Vera Italia offers many different housing arrangements for our students based on their individual preferences. These include our hosting family, hostel, hotels, bed and breakfast and apartments.
* APARTMENT
Accommodation in a private apartment is possible upon request and availability. Price is available upon request.
* HOST FAMILY
Living with a family is the best way for students to better understand the Italian way of life and to completely immerse themselves in the local traditions and culture. This option is available for those people who attend a course of a minimum of 2 weeks. The La Vera Italia staff carefully selects all families. Price is available upon request depending on the number of weeks.
* HOTEL
There are many charming hotels here in Jesi.
Activities
La Vera Italia staff will be pleased to organize cultural and sport activities during the week (i.e. guided tour of Jesi, vineyard tour, visit to Italcook gourmet cooking school, soccer games, golf, tennis, horseback riding) and weekend trips to discover the beautiful Marche Region (i.e. Monte Conero Natural Park, Frasassi Caves, Urbino, Medieval Town tours, Recanati, Loreto) and the most popular cities of Italy (i.e. Rome, Florence, Naples, Siena and the Tuscany area, Venice, Perugia, Assisi, Bologna, Gran Sasso Mountain). We will also organize activities and excursions for those students who prefer to remain in or near Jesi on the weekend.
