Pintadera is a small Italian language school located in a quiet and picturesque alley of the Old Town of Alghero on the 'Coral Coast' of the Italian island of Sardinia. Welcoming and relaxing, the school offers the perfect atmosphere for learning the Italian language and gaining a unique insight into Sardinian culture. We take language out of the classroom and onto the streets of Alghero. All five senses are activated during the learning process – not only do you listen and speak, but you eat, sleep and breathe Sardinia.

Pintadera is run by two women, one from Alghero and the other native of Berlin, but with an international background. The teachers are friendly, motivated university graduates who are chosen not only for their teaching ability but also for their personality.

In addition to the basic intensive group language and culture courses, Pintadera offers a series of special courses, among which a weekly crash course for tourists called AllegraMente. This late afternoon course is designed to give our visitors an enticing taste of the Italian language and way of life. Our courses provide an intelligent enhancement to anyone’s holiday in Alghero.

COURSES

We want to make learning Italian in Alghero a pleasant, enriching and mind-opening experience. Our teachers are highly motivated university graduates who are chosen not only on the basis of their ability but also for their personality. Pintadera offers a variety of Italian language and culture courses according to your interests and abilities which we will discuss with you in advance. The cultural courses are based on Sardinia. The Italian spoken in Sardinia is a very pure form of Italian and you will learn a pronunciation that you can use with confidence throughout Italy.

Italian language courses
– Lingua A, B, C

Levels:

Lingua A – Elementary (A1 / A2) – "contatto & sopravvivenza" – for those who have no or very little knowledge of Italian

Lingua B – Intermediate (B1 / B2) – "soglia & progresso" – for those wishing to improve their existing knowledge of grammar and vocabulary and to advance their comprehension and speaking skills

Lingua C – Advanced (C1 / C2) – "efficacia & padronanza" – for those with a formal preparation of grammar who wish to consolidate both their written and oral skills
