Our Italian language course programs have been developed from a communicative based approach and focuses on the four language abilities (listening, speaking, reading, writing). Our first goal is communication, both oral and written. Our courses are structured to conform with the European standards set by ALTE (Association of Language Testers in Europe) and by the Council of Europe.
Our reference teaching methodology is communicativism but not in its extreme consequences (read Krashen). We do think that language analyses is also important. For this reasons we divide our standard course in two parts: "Language Analyses" and "Communicative Tasks".
The language analyses activities include controlled oral and written production, while the communicative tasks involve listening and reading comprehension and free oral and written activities.
Our Standard group course is divided in two parts: 2-hours of Language Analysis followed by 2-hours of practice with Communicative Tasks.

SOCIAL ACTIVITIES, TRIPS & EXCURSIONS IN TAORMINA SICILY
During your full immersion Italian language courses, we will also offer you a scheduled program of free social and cultural extra-curricular activities which are included in the price of the course of Italian. These activities may include, but are not limited to lectures, walks, films, games, seminars. Our weekly seminars cover a variety of subjects from Italian literature and poetry to Sicilian-specific subjects including history, politics, cuisine, etc.
As mentioned, in addition to free social and cultural extra-curricular activities, our Italian language school also offers paid excursions, guided tours, field trips and trips in Sicily, usually every weekend or occasionally in the afternoons. Our Italian language courses can be the beginning of an unforgettable journey in Sicily. From Taormina, it is very easy to get to Syracuse, volcano Mount Etna, the Eolian Islands, Catania, Piazza Armerina and Noto. And, with a bit of more time available, to: Palermo, Selinunte, Segesta, Agrigento, Erice, and to many more beauties of Sicily.
