Italian Language Course Standard
The Standard Italian Courses take place from Monday to Friday, four hours a day, in the morning (9am–1pm) and can be attended for periods varying between 2 and 24 weeks.
There are six levels in all, from absolute beginners to the diploma level.
There are no more than twelve students in each class and teaching is assigned to two teachers who develop the language (9am-10:50am) and the conversation programme (11:10am–1pm).
An entry examination determines the appropriate level for all non-beginners.
Italian Intensive Courses
The Intensive Italian Courses take place from Monday to Friday, six hours a day, in the morning (09:00 – 13:00) and two in the afternoon (14:00 – 16:00). They can be attended for periods varying between 2 and 24 weeks.
There are six levels in all, from absolute beginners to the diploma level. There are no more than twelve students in each class and the teaching is assigned to three teachers who develop the language development programme (09:00 - 10:50), the conversation programme conversazione (11:10 – 13:00) and the revision and vocabulary building programme (14:00 16:00).
An entry examination determines the appropriate study level for all non-beginner students.
Italian Super Intensive Courses
The Super Intensive Italian Courses take place from Monday to Friday, six hours a day, in the morning (09:00 – 13:00) and two hours of private lesson in the afternoon (14:00 – 16:00). They can be attended for periods varying of two, three or four weeks.
In the morning the student is placed in one of the 6 levels of study, from absolute beginners to the diploma level and develops the language development programme (09:00 - 10:50), the conversation programme conversazione (11:10 – 13:00).
In the afternoon (14:00 - 16:00) the student follows an individual programme with a private teacher with whom the capacity to use is developed in relation to the student’s needs.
Accommodation in Florence
Confortable accommodation during the student's stay is of prime importance. The greatest of studying in the country where it is spoken is that students are able to put into continual use what they learn in class.
In a family
By living with a Florentine family the student finds a friendly and sociable atmosphere. In the mornings breakfast is had with other members of the family. If so desired, dinner may also be had with them.
In a student apartment
The apartments available are all of different sizes, and within walking distance from the Institute. All are furnished with the essential facilities for a comfortable stay: kitchen stove, bed linen, etc.
In a individual studio - apartment
These are small, self-contained and furnished individual apartments. We recommend these to people who wish to have greater independence and privacy.
In a Hotel
All are central and near the school.
