Proyecto Español
PROYECTO ESPAÑOL is a language school, specialized in Spanish for foreigners, with academies in Alicante, Granada and Madrid. Our goal is to combine teaching the Spanish language and culture with fulfilling your holiday expectations at favourable prices. Proyecto Español works nearly exclusively with public and non-commercial organizations, and the tuition is free of any commission for agencies.
Our main tasks are offering professional, methodologically sound language instruction, as well as promoting the direct personal contact of each individual to the Spanish culture.
In addition to numerous leisure time activities, our free Language Exchange invites you to also get to know Spain outside of the classroom. Social behavior patterns and manners, colloquialisms and "street slang" are experienced firsthand.
Our school in Alicante is accredited by the "Instituto Cervantes" and accepted by CSN to receive students with Swedish state funded loans and grants to study abroad. And our courses with 30 hours per week are recognized as "Bildungsurlaub" in Germany (Berlin, Brandenburg, Hamburg, Hessen, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and Rheinland-Pflalz).
Diplomas and Exams:
D.E.L.E.
The "Diplomas de Español como Lengua Extranjera" (D.E.L.E.), are issued by the Instituto Cervantes in name of the Spanish ministry of culture. Three different levels are offered:
* Diploma de Español - Nivel Inicial (basic)
* Diploma de Español - Nivel Intermedio (intermediate)
* Diploma de Español - Nivel Superior (advanced)
Dates 2006: 12th/13th of May; 25th of August; 18th/24th/25th of November
Place: D.E.L.E. - examination centres
Inscription: about 3 weeks before the exam
(about 6 weeks outside of Spain)
Preparation: Preparation-courses in all centres of Proyecto Español.
ECCO
Proyecto Español has firmed an agreement with the "Consejería de Educación, Cultura, Juventud y Deportes" (regional department of education, culture, youth and sports), the "Fundación San Millán de la Cogolla" and the "Instituto Hispánico de La Rioja". This enables our students to obtain the official diploma ECCO "Examen de la Competencia Comunicativa en español como lengua extranjera" (Spanish as a foreign language examination) in our installations.
With reference to levels of linguistic aptitude, the IHLR (Instituto Hispánico de La Rioja) takes, as a reference, the models established by the Council of Europe and the "ALTE" (Association of Language Testers in Europe).

Independently of these exams, all our students receive a diploma of PROYECTO ESPAÑOL, that reflects the level of Spanish as well as the total amount of hours of the course.
