METHOD
We use the IMMERSION method, this is, all classes are in Spanish, the teachers will speak no other language to you. All are teachers are native Spaniards and university graduates. Our teaching is based on learning by practice.
The emphasis is on conversation but we also pay attention to grammar, reading, listening and writing. Grammar is one of the building blocks of a language but we try to make it as easy as possible and do lots of different exercises using the new grammar structures that you have learnt.
GROUPS
We make up the groups according to the students' abilities and there are a maximum of 6 students per class. You will do a level test on line but on the first day of the course you will do an oral and written test. If you are a beginner you will start directly in a beginners group.
INTENSIVE COURSE
You learn 4 hours of Spanish a day, from Monday to Friday. The hours are of 45 minutes and you have a small break between classes. We have two sessions: morning or afternoon. The morning classes start at 10 o'clock, you have a small break at 11.30 and you finish at 13.30. The afternoon lessons start at 4 o'clock having a break at half past five and finish at half past seven, just in time to have a shower and go for your evening meal or night out.
COMPLEMENTARY COURSES
You can add on an extra lesson a day either conversation or a one to one class with the teacher where you can go over things that you have difficulties with. Maybe you would like conversation class with just you and the teacher. You can add all this onto you intensive course!
Accommodation
Your accommodation is a very important part of your study trip. That's why Spanish Now! attaches a lot of importance to its quality.
We can offer you the following possibilities:
.: SHARED FLAT
You share a flat with other students from Spanish Now! With this choice you have more independence and you live with other people that have come to do the same as you. It's a beginning for a good friendship.
All the flats have living room with T.V, fully equipped kitchen, washing machine and iron. The bedrooms can be individual or shared and have wardrobe, bed linen, etc... . All the flats are no more than 15 minutes walk from our school.
We do our best to accommodate you in a flat with different nationalities. We suggest that you should reach an agreement with one another to speak as much Spanish as possible.
: GUEST FAMILY
You live with a Spanish family. Nowhere else will you so directly experience real Spanish life. The word family should not be taken too literally, because your family could be a single parent who takes in students because he or she enjoys the company. In the price is included breakfast and dinner. It is obvious that you will have to adjust a little to the rules of the house. Remember, too, that locals have different eating habits. Apart from that you are free to do what you want. You will be given your own keys, so you can come and go as you please. During your home-stay you will be able to receive phone calls.
: OTHER OPTIONS
If you are not interested in a shared flat or a guest family, we will be happy to send you addresses or phone numbers of hotels or hostels in the area.
All accommodation is arranged from Sunday before the course starts until Saturday noon after the course ends. Additional nights can be booked upon request depending on availability.
All our accommodation is centrally located. In all types of accommodation sheets are provided but please bring your own towels.
