NOVA MOVA, the International Language School of Ukrainian and Russian in Kyiv, have joined forces of teams of scholars to adapt their language programs to your needs. We offer top standards of language courses combined with attractive leisure and cultural programs in Kyiv including other cities of Ukraine. Our School was developed to meet the increasing demand for knowledge of the Ukrainian and Russian languages among the international community. Intensive Russian or Ukrainian
This course has been designed for students of beginner, elementary, intermediate and advanced levels, utilizing a universal combination of intensive and communicative methodologies, designed to involve students in the process of active communication from the very first lesson. The main goals of this course are to develop your listening comprehension of Ukrainian or Russian, learn the underlying grammatical structures, and help you start speaking Ukrainian or Russian in the least time possible. Throughout the course, the student will develop speaking, writing, listening and grammar skills.
Languages: Ukrainian or Russian Course: 20 lessons per week (4 lessons per day) 9:00-13:00, Monday to Friday (45 minute lessons + breaks) Duration: 2 - 4 weeks Group size: max. 8 students Level: Beginner, Elementary, Intermediate, and Advanced
Accommodation We offer two types of accommodation.
Family Homestay You will live with an trustworthy Ukrainian family in their home. All our host families have been carefully selected by our staff and are located downtown or close to a metro station. Breakfast is included in all homestay options. You can also arrange dinner and laundry service for extra charge
Self-catering Apartment You will stay in a private single-bedroom apartment with a kitchen for self-catering (board is not included in these options). Quality foods are widely available throughout town.
Social Activities
* Culture and history buffs shouldnt miss the Caves Monastery , Kievs nr.1 tourist attraction. The monastery complex is a city within the city with stunning buildings dating back as far as the 11th century AD. Be sure to visit the dark and mysterious underground caves where you can see the mummies of the largest collection of Orthodox saints who are held responsible for many miracles during their lifetime but also afterwards among the many Orthodox pilgrims. * Shopping and history fans alike will enjoy the beautiful Andriyivsky Uzviz, a meandering street going down to the district Podol, Kievs Soho. Buy your souvenirs with the many street merchants who are proud to show you their handmade scarfs, artworks and Soviet memorabilia. Or hang out in one of the artist cafés. * Also on Andriyivsky Uzviz is the quaint and endearing Bulgakov Museum situated in the birth house of the author of the classic Russian novel The Master and Margarita. * Want to try numbers and bartering skills in Russian? Go visit one of the quaint markets in Kiev such as the big indoor food market in Podol. The fruits and vegetables are displayed beautifully and the market women will let you taste their homemade honey, cheese and pickles. Simply wonderful! * Every summer Nova Mova organises several field trips to Pirogov, the open air museum of Folk Architecture and Life, right outside the city. Over 300 original pieces of folk architecture have been gathered on several hillsides, surrounded by forest and wheat fields. A perfect place to have a traditional Ukrainian picknick with shashlik, and vodka! Practice your Russian by talking to one of the costumed peasants or buying wild honey or woodcarving from one of the craftspeople working in the open air.
