Aitas Japanese Language School

Aitas Japanese Language School

Hello, Ifm Kyoko Saita, Principal of Aitas Japanese Language School Toronto.@
My starting point of Japanese language education was back in high-school. I was born in Japan and when I was in high-school, I went to Indiana as an exchange student.

That was my first experience being immersed in a different culture. Communicating in English was certainly tough.

Learning English from textbooks in Japan for 5 years didnft help much with my communication skills. English education in Japan only focuses on how to read and write.

During my one-year stay, I learnt many valuable things, made many friends and had a wonderful time.

I also realized how important it is to enjoy the learning process and decided to open a school where students can learn and have fun at the same time.

Activities

Aitas Conversation Club was added to our list of club activities to create the opportunity for you to speak Japanese with native Japanese people in a friendly atmosphere. The Club is currently open to only students from level 2 who enrolled in our regular course.

he "Conversation"at this club is quite different from a language exchange in that there is no expectation of English language teaching on your part. We are not asking a Canadian to teach English to a Japanese person in exchange for help with your Japanese.

Don't worry if you are not a native English speaker!
You do not have to teach English to the Japanese club member, so your English ability is of little concern.
