Lewis School of English
The Lewis School of English has been welcoming students of English for 29 years. We are conveniently located in the heart of the city of Southampton, facing a beautiful park. The main bus terminus and shopping areas are just a few minutes walk from the school. We occupy three 18th century town houses with garden patios at the back. The facilities include a reception area, 13 spacious and well equipped classrooms, a listening centre, a computer room with Internet access, a video room and 2 coffee rooms. Facilities The Computer Room We opened our computer centre in the summer of 2000. It has eight computers where you can do your work, surf the internet to help you with your English, and keep in touch with your friends and family by e-mail. We have a broadband connection and wireless access for students with laptops. Our teachers also make use of our computer centre, as it is a fantastic resource for language learning. The Listening Centre If you wish to study on your own you can use a quiet room at the top of the building. It is equipped with cassette machines, listening tapes, grammar and vocabulary reference books, and specially prepared materials. It is ideal for exam revision, homework and consolidating your classroom work. You can also borrow books from our school library to read at home.
