The School ProBa Language Centre established in 1995. At present ProBa is one of the leading institutions offering academic courses of the Russian Language for Foreigners and intensive language practice in Russia. Using the direct teaching method as the basis for classical academic education, we are also the authors of the Russian Language audio courses and computer programs, which assist students in gaining fast and maximum progress as well as excellent results during even short-term courses. Our Russian classes are open all year and offer a combination of pronunciation work, grammar and vocabulary input and speaking, reading, writing and listening skills. The school is open throughout the year with classes at all levels from beginner to advanced. Language Courses Standard Russian Courses in Small Group We offer small class sizes with a maximum of 5 students. Russian Group Courses Instruction in small groups increases the amount of instructional time that the teacher has to spend with each student during the lesson. This allows for increased interaction between the teacher and the students. Individual Standard Course (20 lessons/week) Individual CourseThese Russian courses contain 20 one-to-one lessons per week. The choice of the starting dates and the course length depends on the participant's personal desire. The programme of the course is jointly designed by the teacher and the student on the basis of special interests of study specified by the student in the enrollment form. Individual Intensive Course (30 lessons/week) Individual CourseThese courses contain 30 lessons per week. One-to-One instruction is available at all levels of ability. Your course is customized in approach, content and duration to suit your needs and wishes. Live and have the language course at the teacher's home At teacher's Home Language CoursesThe ProBa Language Centre offers you the language course at home by our carefully chosen qualified teachers. The main concept of this Russian language course is that a student spends practically all the time with the teacher and has excellent possibilities for a very serious language practice. This course comprises 20 individual lessons per week. Accommodation Living with a Russian Host Family Living with a Russian Host FamilyWe have a list of carefully chosen Russian host families working for our school. All rooms are personally checked by staff and must meet strict criteria before being included in our database. Each participant is accommodated in a single room having all the necessary conditions for rest and study. Living in the heart of the city... The participants have the possibility of living in a Students' Hostel which is located in the centre of St. Petersburg, 1 minute walk to Nevski Prospect, opposite the famous Kazan Cathedral. We can accommodate our students in double and single rooms. During the low saison is possible to be accommodated in double room for single use without any extra fee.
