West Devon English Language School

The West Devon English Language School is situated in the heart of Devon. This specialist english language school concentrates in the teaching of English language to students of business and general English in the Devon countryside. We're based in Tavistock, West Devon, on the edge of Dartmoor National Park – a famous holiday area and the home of “The Hound of the Baskervilles” and Dartmoor prison. The area is 45 minutes from the sea. We offer students focused study in developing their knowledge of the English Language in a friendly, high quality environment. Providing good food and accommodation is part of this! Courses can either be on a one to one basis or in small groups not exceeding four persons. Accommodation is either within the school or in nearby Home Stay accommodation. Each student has their own study bedroom with full facilities; although there are some twin bedded rooms available at reduced prices. All teachers are fully qualified (TESOL or CELTA) and are chosen to match the student's particular study requirements (general, business, medicine, Information Technology. etc). Preparation for particular examinations is available if required. All courses are flexible to meet individual student’s needs. Teaching available at all levels from beginners to advanced. Courses can include telephone practice. Internet facilities for student use. We can arrange visits to places of historic or cultural interest and local experts can often accompany these. We can arrange to collect students from Exeter, Bristol or Plymouth airports; Exeter or Plymouth rail stations or the Brittany ferry terminal at Plymouth .
